We are pleased to announce the opening of The Law Offices of Jacqueline D. Yu located in Beverly Hills, California. A seasoned attorney with more than 14 years of experience, Ms. Yu offers inclusive and comprehensive advanced estate planning, business succession planning, and trust administration guidance, representing individuals, families, and business owners in both domestic and international matters. In this era of globalization, where it is increasingly common for clients to own assets both in the United States and abroad, where families have mixed citizenship and residency status, and where diversity of cultural, religious, and family backgrounds (non-traditional, blended and alike) form the fabric of modern society, Ms. Yu has opened her law firm to provide sophisticated estate, tax, asset protection, and multigenerational planning strategies that address these complexities.

The opening of Ms. Yu’s firm also comes amid drastic alterations to federal retirement legislation and California’s property tax laws, and anticipated significant changes to federal income, gift and estate tax laws. Ms. Yu is poised to offer the level of expertise and clarity that her clients need to navigate through these changes.

Ms. Yu holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Notre Dame Law School, and from UCLA both a Master of Laws degree (Tax and Business Law Specialization) and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Political Science-International Relations Concentration and Asian American Studies-Ethnic Studies). She has worked for some of the most prominent trusts and estates law firms, and one of the top 15 largest accounting firms in the United States.

Jacqueline took on the extensive endeavor of redesigning our family trust, our children’s gift trusts, and the managing of assets as they related to California’s new Proposition 19, in a timely manner. This was no small task and time was not on our side. Her diligence and efforts guaranteed that our properties would not be reassessed and our property taxes would remain the same. – Estate and Tax Planning Client (Los Angeles County, CA, January 2021)
